As of today, the Notice of Tax Rage Change form has been modified due to calculation issues. The calculations on the notice of tax rate for the last year's rate calculation had to be changed. The following information is how the information is now being calculated.
M&O Rate = Line 1 of the initial setup screen
I&S Rate = Line 2 of the initial setup screen
Last year's operating taxes = (M&O rate * last year's tax base / 100) + ((M&O rate / total tax rate * 100) * (tax ceiling from line 6 of the initial setup screen) / 100))
Last year's debt taxes = (I&S rate * last year's tax base / 100) + ((I&S rate / total tax rate * 100) * (tax ceiling from line 6 of the initial setup screen) / 100))
Last year's total taxes = Last year's operating taxes + last year's debt taxes
Last year's tax base = The adjusted taxable value from line 11 of the effective tax rate worksheet
Please feel free to contact True Automation Client Support if you experience any issues or have any additional questions.
